ASTU held a consultative meeting with Russian representatives. The consultative meeting was held with the view of exploring potential areas of collaboration. Dr. Lemi Guta, president of ASTU, welcomed the guests and thanked them for visiting ASTU.
He underscored that as a science and technology university, ASTU wants to work with advanced Russian universities. Dr. Lemi noted that ASTU is looking forward to working on areas of cooperation that
involve knowledge sharing, skills transfer and Innovative educational technologies. On the occasion a brief highlight of ASTU's background and current status has been presented for the delegates.
The delegates also thanked ASTU for the warm reception and the willingness to partner with Russian counterparts. They expressed their readiness to work in collaboration with ASTU. The delegates visited Materials Science & Engineering laboratory, the ICT center and community school. The two parties reached consensus to figure out specific areas of cooperation in the future based on the demands from both sides.
