Empowers Women Through Leadership Training

Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU), Women and Social Affairs Executive organized a two-day training program designed to boost leadership skills among its female academic and administrative staff from April 3-4, 2025 at Borati Hall.

The initiative aimed to enhance various aspects of leadership, including confidence building, networking, mentorship, gender equality, and overall institutional performance.

 
The training kicked off with a warm welcome from Dr. Teshome Abido, the Academic Vice President at ASTU. He expressed the university's dedication to empowering women in leadership positions and stressed the importance of such programs in breaking down cultural and social barriers that women often encounter. Dr. Teshome noted that supporting women is vital for fulfilling the university's vision and mission.
This training marks a meaningful step toward fostering a more inclusive atmosphere at ASTU, where women can excel and play a significant role in the university's achievements.
