The training includes kids programming, robotics, basic outreach, intermediate outreach and advanced outreach programs.
Prof. Tegene Dessalegn, director of community engagement directorate, who was the guest of honor at the recognition and certificate awarding event, noted that Adama Science and Technology University is one of the two universities responsible for producing qualified and competitive students in the field of science and engineering at the national level. He also pointed out that studies indicate that at the international level school students are becoming weak at hard science and that they should be supported to develop their skills in the fields of hard sciences. It is in recognition of this trend that ASTU-STEM center delved into such engagements.

Mr. Tesfaye Benti, the Dean of the STEAM Center, underscored that a total of 370 students who successfully completed the training in five basic, intermediate, and advanced programs, will be given recognition and certificates. At the end of the event, certificates were presented to the students and coaches who had the best participation and achieved the best results.
